Affirmative Action Program
Affirmative
Action is the taking of positive steps to eliminate discrimination.
The City of Los Angeles prohibits discrimination by contractors
and subcontractors against any person or group based on race, religion,
sex, sexual orientation, ancestry, national origin, age, physical
handicap, marital status or medical condition.
This
Affirmative Action Plan is a policy establishing specific standards
and procedures to be taken if there is a case of discrimination.
It may include provisions for positive recruitment,
training, promotion, and procedures for internal record keeping
and auditing to ensure compliance.
