Rhonda Gaston
Rhonda Gaston, Assistant General Manager for Finance and Administrative Services at the Community Development Department (CDD), is a career City employee - serving Los Angeles for 24 years. Her career began in Mayor Tom Bradley's office where she worked in the Mayor’s Criminal Justice Planning Office (now Homeland Security and Public Safety) while attending college in the evenings.

Rhonda advanced to a supervising position managing policy and program development, administration of grant-funded juvenile justice, violence against women and anti-gang programs.
After working for both Mayors Bradley and Riordan, she accepted an opportunity to join the CDD staff where she served as a Senior Analyst in the Human Services Division supervising staff in the administration of grant-funded social services programs.
Upon the request of the Hahn administration, she returned to the Mayor’s Office to assist with the Housing and Community Development Consolidated Plan.
Immediately before her appointment to the CDD management team, she served as Senior Director of Community Development Policy and Programs and also as Assistant Deputy Mayor of Operations for Mayor Villaraigosa’s Office of Housing and Economic Development.
Rhonda holds a Masters of Business Administration and is the proud mom of two young men ages 13 and 14.
